Minor Surgery

Professor Bailey, as a General Surgeon, performs a variety of minor operations. He excises skin lesions, ranging from benign moles and cysts to skin cancer; often under local anaesthetic as an out patient. He also performs many other minor procedures under local anaesthetic in out patients, including vasectomies and toenail surgery.

Some procedures require a short general anaesthetic and admission to hospital as a day case, or perhaps overnight.
