Professor Bailey is available for private consultations at the Guildford Nuffield
Hospital. Opened in 1999, the hospital has excellent facilities for investigations
which may be required, such as ultrasound scanning, X-ray and pathology.
Professor Bailey operates regularly at The Guildford Nuffield Hospital and at Mount
Alvernia Hospital, Guildford, both of which are equipped with the latest laparoscopic operating facilities. Patients are
given the choice of which hospital and they are usually admitted on the day of
operation. Many will return home the same or following day; with more complex surgery,
the stay will be longer. Investigations such as
colonoscopy and gastro-intestinal
endoscopy (OGD) are performed as day cases.
Minor conditions, including the removal of
skin lesions under local anaesthetic and the treatment of haemorrhoids, are performed
as an out patient.
Jacqueline Manning, Professor Bailey's Secretary, organises all arrangements
for appointments and treatment, and is able to deal with any questions, including
insurance-related queries.
